Happy birthday to our precious Madelyn. Today we celebrate you as you celebrate with Jesus and the angels. God gave me this poem last night. Thanking Him for you, and for these words, and the promises they hold. We love you to heaven and back, and back again, forever and ever. 💖

Castle in the Sky

So small and so pure 
Daddy’s eyes, mommy’s curls
Perfect and lovely
Our baby girl
We bathed you and dressed you
Hugged you and kissed you
Such an image of innocence 
In this fallen world 
And when the time came 
To say goodbye
It was with heaving sobs 
And heart aching cries 
If I could go back
And hold you again 
I wouldn’t be able 
To let go of your hand 
Yet though you are gone 
Your sweet life lives on 
In the things that you show us
Through your beautiful song
Love bigger and better 
Forgive and let go
Extend a hand to the hurting
Let kindness show 
Heaven is real
And it’s promises true 
A place of perfection
The place we’ll see you 
You’ve shown true joy comes
Not from people or things 
But from the Father’s love 
And the healing He brings 
So we trust and we hope 
In that glorious day 
When all things are made right
When we’ll be able to say 
Thank you for blessing
So many lives
Then we’ll walk hand in hand 
To our castle in the sky
